Meadowhall invests £1 million into new drinks and activity venue

An innovative late night bar ‘Clubhouse’ has now opened at Meadowhall offering classic activities including bowling, mini-golf and virtual reality darts.

Clubhouse on Lower Park Lane in the shopping centre is open from 10am to 9pm on weekdays, with Friday and Saturday closing at 11pm.

Clubhouse bar is now the first fully licensed late-night experience to open on Park lane, replacing the former Ronnie O’Sullivan snooker shop.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall said: “It’s fantastic to see this exclusive new experience come to life at Meadowhall and we can’t wait to see what the reaction is when people visit for the first time.”

The £1 million leisure experience has also created the opportunity for 40 new jobs for people in the local area.

Customer James Hilser, 28, said: “The atmosphere sells the experience, it’s a luxury experience at a reasonable cost. I’d struggle to get bored here.”

The venue offers a ‘Founders membership’ at £25 per year, enabling discounts on food and activities and exclusive entry to members only events.

Lola Thornton, 38, said: “My two children loved their time at Clubhouse, plenty of activities to keep them entertained whilst me and my husband could have a drink at the bar. Clubhouse truly is perfect for all.”

Clubhouse’s menu offers a cocktails bar, craft beers and street food style sharing plates with various vegan and vegetarian friendly options.

The venue also has a wheelchair accessible entrance, lift, seating and toilet.

Jack Pendlebury, Director at Clubhouse said: “We’re so excited to see our vision come to life and finally open the doors after all our hard work. We couldn’t have picked a better location than Meadowhall to launch our new venture.”

The opening of Clubhouse has followed the launch of the Lindt store in December and the Tag Active Arena at Jump inc! in January.

Clubhouse are still recruiting and have said “We are also looking to grow our team to help us deliver an unforgettable experience for all our customers and we’d encourage anyone with a passion for hospitality to get in touch.”
