Clubhouse Meadowhall: Grand opening of new bar with bowling, mini-golf and darts

A new bar and leisure venue has been opened at Meadowhall providing a new social experience for visitors – and including bowling, mini-golf and virtual reality darts.

Clubhouse offers shoppers a place to unwind and interact with other people while providing entertainment alongside catering from skilled bartenders and chefs.

Jack Pendlebury, the director of Clubhouse, said: “We’re so excited to see our vision come to life and finally open the doors after all our hard work.

“We couldn’t have picked a better location than Meadowhall to launch our new venture, and we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of new faces to experience everything we have to offer.”

Clubhouse presents itself as a venue that aims to meet visitors’ needs through a variety of options they’ve provided.

Its launch took place on Thursday 23 February at the venue on Lower Park Lane in the shopping centre.

Mr Pendlebury said although it had been a long time in the making with a few challenges along the way, he hoped that Clubhouse – as the first of its kind in Meadowhall – could deliver an unforgettable experience for customers.

Attenders of the launch event also reported positively about the opening of the new social venue.

Sam Wragg, 34, a blogger for Cocotruffles, said: “It’s really nice. I haven’t been anywhere like this. It’s high-end and looks really stylish.” She added that it presented itself as a place where you could ‘pop in after shopping’.

Luke Smith, 31, a cabin crew member for Virgin Atlantic, said: “It’s really cool, it’s got a good vibe and is my kind of place. We really need some places like this as it is great for socialising and meeting new people.”

Laura Neeve, 34, a salon owner described the venue as ‘beautiful’.

She said: “I absolutely love the colour and decorating it reminds me of old school America. When people find out what’s here it’ll become popular.”

Not only has Clubhouse provided a new social get away for shoppers, it has created 40 new jobs for people in the local area.

The bar is also still recruiting for team members at a range of levels. To apply for a role, visit: www.clubhousesocial.co.uk/pages/careers.
