Hackenthorpe Medical centre subject to vandalism and theft

Hackenthorpe medical centre was subject to theft and vandalism over the weekend.

The incident occurred overnight on Friday into Saturday and has been reported to the police.

In their Facebook post, staff at the centre said: ” We are really shocked and extremely upset to have to tell you that the practice has been subject to theft and vandalism over the weekend with considerable damage being caused to the roof of the building.

” Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, not only at Hackenthorpe but also at Beighton supporting the Vaccination Programme. It is very upsetting for all staff who are doing their best to keep services going during this very difficult time.

“We will do everything we can to make sure services will continue and that disruption is kept to a minimum but please bear with us as there may be some building work taking place during working hours to ensure the building is safe.”

The staff at Hackenthorpe medical asked if anyone saw or heard anything please contact them via email at sheccg.hackenthorpemc@nhs.net.
