Two teenagers were reportedly seen carrying a chainsaw in a Sheffield suburb last night.

Officers were called to Flockton Road in Handsworth at 11:04pm, following reports that two teenagers had been seen carrying a chainsaw.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “An extensive search of the area was carried out by the South Yorkshire Police throughout the night but nobody carrying a chainsaw was found.”

Flockton Road residents were advised to remain ‘vigilant’ and reports any information by calling 101 and quote incident 1101 of 23 February.
