People in Sheffield enjoyed the sunny weather today as temperatures reach 20 degrees.

Alice Cowgill, 25, of Ibbotson Road, said: ‘‘It’s put you in a good mood. And you can get a tan. It’s much better than being cold, isn’t it?’’

According to the Met Office, it will still be dry and sunny on Thursday. Friday morning will be fine once any fog has cleared, then a risk of some showers later in the day, with cool and cloudy weather on Saturday with rain at times.

Emily Ogden, 23, of Mowbray Street, said: ‘‘I love it. It makes it so much nicer. It brightens everybody’s mood at work and you can see outside for that.

Changeable weather is likely to continue next week, with a risk of showers for most parts and perhaps some longer spells of rain. Temperatures will be close to or slightly above average for the time of year.
